Social

The Club organises a number of social events each year that Club members and their family or guests are most welcome to attend.  This includes monthly scenic drives run in conjunction with other marque clubs such as the Austin Healey Club, the MG Owners Club and the Triumph Car Club which typically finish at a suitable lunch venue.  There are also Sunday runs organised in most months of the year, often coinciding with a country town fair or event.

A Club social run and picnic on the banks of the Avon River is also organised annually for the VSCC Northam Flying 50 regularity event. A number of Club members also compete in the regularity event.

Each year, the traditional Winter Woolies Run is held in July and Banton’s Big Breakfast, an early morning breakfast run, is held in August.

The main social driving event of the year is the Safety Fast Run (SFR), held in conjunction with the MG Owners Club and the TC Owners Club.  Details of this event can be found in the “Events section” of this website .

The Club’s Annual General Meeting is held each year in October (change from previous years of December) for the election of office-bearers for the following year.  This is a convivial affair and refreshments are provided by the Club.

Special Note for Club Members with Code 404 Concessional Licenses.

Our Club President has noted that the WA DOT and the Police are following up any transgressions of the Code 404, Concessional Licence usage.

Any members wishing to do an occasional run, solo or with friends, when that run is not listed in an approved club’s calendar, should complete the “Impromptu Run” (IR) notification. Club members with Concessional 404 registered cars can now lodge IR notifications directly online from the link on the home page. This should be done at least one (1) hour before commencing the run. This ensures the run is legal.
