The 2022 Safety Fast Run was a great success and planning for the 2023 event is in progress.
The 2023 Safety Fast Run will be based in Margaret River from Saturday 14th to Monday 16th October. As in past years, all MG owners are invited to enter and enjoy the event which is organised jointly by the MG Car Club of WA, the MG Owners Club of WA and the MGTC Owners Club.
The venue for the Theme Night and Presentation Dinner will be the Stay Margaret River Hotel located at 78 Wallcliffe Road Margaret River.

The Safety Fast Run originated in 1993 when Colin Cleaver as president of the MG Car Club of WA identified a need for a touring event which would attract all owners of MGs, including those who were members of other clubs and members of the general public. The intention was to bring all MG owners together for a weekend of informal scenic driving and social fun.
An organising committee was formed and over the years this has included members of the two other MG clubs in WA, the MG Owners Club and the MG TC Owners Club, thus ensuring the interests of other MG owners were catered for and that the organisational load was shared around.
The MG Car Club WA chairs the organising committee and is responsible for maintaining the financial accounts and obtaining the necessary CAMS approvals and insurance.
The event is self-funding and any surplus is held in trust to cover any future event shortfall.
The contribution of all MG club members in helping to organise the event is appreciated, and it is intended that the event will continue for many years to come, providing a fun and affordable weekend away for all MG owners and their spouses, partners and friends.
