Incorporating the MG ‘Pride of Ownership’ and the MG Marque 100th Anniversary Day in WA
Sunday 17th March 2024: Motor Museum Whiteman Park
The 2024 Show’n’Shine plus event will be held at the Motor Museum in Whiteman Park, entry from 12:00pm on.
We wish to encourage as many MGs to be displayed as possible. So please bring out all your Midgets, MGAs, J Types & T Types, Classic Sedans, moderns etc and put them on display!
For MGCCWA member entrants, the day will include free entry to the Museum and a sausage sizzle lunch, with salad and dessert. BYO drinks [cold soft drinks available to purchase at the MM front counter]
The event will start with a RUN from the Guildford Railway station North Car Park [leaving at 10:45] to the MM.
We are offering a Pride of Ownership [PoO] award for MGs of all members of the 3 MG Clubs. This is a ‘Self Judging’ event, whereby the entrants in a class will judge the other vehicles in their class [but not their own!] using a simplified set of judging criteria.
The classes for 2024 will be:
1. Pre 1962 MGs including all MGA models
2. 1962 to 1996 MGs: MGB MGC RV8
3. 1996 to 2005 MGs: MGF MGTF Z series
4. All SAIC assembled MGs
Please note that an entry form is NOT required if you only wish to display your vehicle and do not want to participate in the Pride of Ownership (PoO) awards. However, I do need to know in advance if you intend to join in the event, [for catering purposes] just email me with name and MG model.
The event is covered by a Motorsport Australia Social Permit, which provides public liability insurance cover. Entry is free, but you will need to sign an attendance sheet for insurance purposes.
Please note that vehicles are required to be in place by 1:00 pm (gates will open at 12:00 ) with trophy presentation at approx 3:00pm for those entering the Show’n’Shine. To alleviate pressure on the volunteers running the event, PoO entries will not be accepted after 1:00pm
To help the organisers – if you wish your car to be part of the PoO awards, please submit your entry form ASAP [form below].
