Golden Bay Commemorative Run

March 19

Dear Club member

To commemorate the very first social run of the MG Car Club of WA, held 60 years ago on 31st March 1963, a run to Golden Bay (between Secret Harbour and Singleton) has been organised for this coming Sunday.

Northerners meet at Ye Olde Narrogin Inne carpark in Armadale at 10:00am for a 10:30am start – the cafe in the adjacent Pioneer Village will be open for coffee for those needing a Sunday morning caffeine hit.  The Southern Chapter will be meeting at the Pinjarra Bakery in Waroona at 9:30 am for a 10:30am start.

The scenic run from Ye Olde Narrogin Inne will take around an hour and finish at Golden Bay Foreshore park, which has plenty of shady trees, rotunda’s etc to setup under.  Bring your picnic lunch and folding chairs – there is a café just down the road in Dampier Drive for those who prefer to buy lunch (bear in mind that it is rather busy though).  Contact for Northerners is Peter Hagarty (pjhagarty@tpg.com.au or 0413 569 359).

I drove the Northerners route today (Tuesday) to ensure there will be no hiccoughs and thoroughly enjoyed the run.  The weather forecast for this coming Sunday looks to be perfect.  Make sure you don’t miss this special commemorate event, which promises to be a fabulous day!

Regards,

Peter Hagarty
